Downtown Riverside CA Courthouse Weddings and Elopements Photographer

Are you considering eloping at Riversides Courthouse, CA?

We love intimate weddings, and if you are considering eloping in Riverside, California, the courthouse may be the perfect location for your private ceremony. Located in the heart of downtown Riverside, the Riverside Superior Court is a beautiful, historic building offering a range of backdrops and services for couples looking to get married quickly and easily.

While courthouse elopements may not be as elaborate as traditional weddings, they are intimate, private, and just as meaningful and memorable. If you're looking for a simple, affordable way to exchange vows with the person you love, a courthouse elopement in Riverside, California, is a perfect choice.

Here are a few more details to consider if you're thinking about eloping at the Riverside Superior Court:

Marriage licenses: To get married in California, you'll need to obtain a marriage license from the county clerk's office. In Riverside, you can apply for a marriage license online or in person at the courthouse. You'll need to provide identification and pay a fee, which is currently $82 in Riverside County. The license is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, so you'll need to plan your ceremony within that time frame.

Scheduling a ceremony: Once you have your marriage license, you can schedule a courthouse ceremony with a judge or commissioner. The courthouse offers ceremonies Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. You'll need to make an appointment in advance.

What to wear:DO YOU,” dress as glamorous, Boho, or modernly as you would like. Wedding attire is highly recommended, especially if we are going to take some amazing images!

Guests: Courthouse elopements are usually small and intimate, with just the couple and a few close friends or family members in attendance. However, the Riverside Superior Court does allow up to 30 guests to attend your ceremony. If you plan to invite guests, it's a good idea to let them know in advance so they can plan accordingly.

Alternatively, my past couples have opted to have their ceremonies at the Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder office at the Riverside Gateway, then we make our way to the Riverside Courthouse and surrounding areas in Downtown riverside to capture their portraits.

My last wedding for the year 2022 was on December 29th, 2022, at the Riverside Gateway Office. Tyler & Nicole opted to elope and say their I do's with just the two of them; we then made our way to downtown Riverside's courthouse and surrounding areas. Our session was a fun-filled and relaxed experience. We completed all the must-have portraits and went further downtown for some lifestyle wedding portraits with some of our favorite local stores.

We hit Arcade Downtown for a warm coffee and tea, as it was a wet and nippy day. I always ensure the shops/stores are okay with photographing my couples before I start clicking away. Luckily for us, the staff are all super friendly, and they had zero issues with me snapping some photos for the newlyweds. They have the BEST coffee in Riverside. ( just saying) . So if you're ever in the area, be sure to make a stop for their delicious coffee, or their Avacado toast is delicious.

We continued our journey to Urban Dripp. Their donuts are pretty big and deliciously fluffy. The newlyweds sat down to relax their feet and get their sugar fix. The owner was super nice and let us photograph.

Lastly, on our way back, we did some impromptu shots, finishing with their bottle of champagne spray.

It was the perfect ending to their wedding portraits. Tyler & Nicole will have a large wedding celebration in 2024 to celebrate with their families and friends.
