Destination Elopement in Sequoia & Kings National Park

I SIMPLY CAN’T PUT THIS EPIC SEQUOIA ELOPEMENT INTO FEW WORDS!

This couple just filled my heart, with warmth love and appreciation. Being their 2nd wedding planning adventure. I was so happy I got to be a part of it. Embarking on their journey from Tennessee to say their I Do’s under the enormous old giant sequoia’s. Both with native roots, of Caddo Nation and Cherokee, they incorporated The joining ceremony.

We arrived two days before the wedding date 9/15/20 to assist with scouting locations at the beautiful Sequoia National Park. As you all may know the fires surrounding us in Cali have been crazy. The skies were filled with smokey orange hues, and falling ash. LONG story - in short, We could no longer hold their elopement at Sequoia Ntl Park, Plan B was Kings Canyon Ntl Park, which was just as equally amazing as it’s sister park.Tthey arrived with having no place to stay due to the mandatory evacuations. Life just kept throwing curve balls. I will admit I was stressing out, and all I wanted was to make this happen for them in the best and most beautiful way possible, But in ALL the chaos, the threads came together, mother earth opened its arms for us ;and their ceremony was absolutely perfect!!! Kori & Geoff were in high spirits and didn’t let anything get in the way of their union.

“Eyes wide closed”

He zipped her up with his eyes closed - they practiced for this day!!

NEXT STOP………….

Picnic at Princess Campground, with their delicious homemade mini cake.

I can’t “NOT” mention my officiant Julia of @yourweddingbelles. I kid you not she is a wonderful human. A free spirit, who’s love for adventure with her couples is equally shared. I couldn’t of done it without her and her amazing cousin Zoe, who was our guide and ranger of Sequoia. They both did so much for me and my couple. Least but not least my florist Dawn of @thenatureofthings whose flowers are always spectacular!!

It’s insane because amidst the fires that surrounded us, we still felt sheltered and protected by these amazing old giants. Nature has its ways of giving, we came we took in all its beauty, and we left no footprint. We left Kori & Geoff to end their day under the orange sky with their picnic.

Thank you Mr & Mrs Lewis for letting my Elopement Co capture such a memorable day!! We are extremely honored and so very glad to have met you both. And hope it’s not the last time we see each other.  Looks like we have to start planning a road-trip.
