Hey there! I’m Mariela Campbell, and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings at the stunning Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, California, for over eight years. There’s something truly magical about this place—it’s got that perfect mix of history, charm, and elegance that makes every wedding feel like a fairytale. And let me tell you, capturing love stories in a place like this never gets old!

Imagine beautiful Spanish Revival architecture, romantic courtyards, grand ballrooms, and intimate spaces—each space has a unique character. Whether it’s the ornate details of the St. Francis Chapel or the peaceful gardens, this place is a photographer’s dream. Having spent so much time here, I know all the little nooks and crannies where the light hits just right, especially how to get around quickly. We began Lauren and Chris’s coverage late in the afternoon during the winter when the Mission Inn is completely decked out with festive seasonal lights. Our 8-hour day started with us documenting their getting-ready session.
Lauren's infectious smile and Chris's laid-back personality made for an easy-flowing day. It helped a lot that we had spent a whole day together before their wedding day, capturing their engagement session. This session taught me a lot about them, and they learned so much about me. At the end of our three-hour session, we both knew what to expect from one another! So, coming into the wedding day felt easy, confident, and reassuring.
